The Portofino line is an exciting new engineered marble product. The slabs have a variety of features that improve on quarried marble, such as greater consistency in size and appearance, and superior durability due to a lack of fissures in the stone. Portofino blocks are made by combining and compacting the materials using a vibrocompression vacuum process. The stone mix consists of marble aggregates, fine mineral particles and organic based bonding agents. The percentage of natural stone is much higher in the Portofino line than is normally found in aggregate slab products.
